Get To Know
Betsy Ade & the
Well-Known
Strangers
If you aren't familiar with Betsy Ade & the Well-Known Strangers, this is a great place to change that. Watch a few videos, listen to some music, and they'll be well-known strangers to you too.
Music Videos
If a picture is worth a thousand words, is a music video worth a thousand songs? No, but images can bring another dimension to a song, whether that's adding a creative element or connecting you to the people behind the music.
Splinter
The lineup for Betsy Ade & the Well-Known Strangers has gone through changes since they released this official music video for the song "Splinter" in 2016; but the band's live shows still have the same great energy you see here.

Hunger
Watch Betsy's dynamic live audition for The Voice, singing "Hunger" by Florence and the Machine, and you'll see why coaches turned their chairs for her in Season 16.
Don't Follow
Music matters, and what you do with your music matters too. That's why Betsy and the band's songs often touch on subjects that are important to them. "Don't Follow" from their 2017 album Aligned is a great example.

Light Up My Summer
A love song from the 2020 EP Awaken, "Light Up My Summer" is like a cool, summer breeze off Lake Michigan.
Just the Music, Please
At the heart of every music video is the music. Listening to music by itself, focusing completely on the sound, can heighten your experience of what you hear. Try it out with these recordings of three original songs from Betsy and the band and one outstanding cover of a great rock song.
Worlds Away
"Worlds Away" is original music from the Path Away EP Betsy and her band released in 2018.
The Show
"The Show," from the 2020 EP Awake, is a song for anyone who's a parent or who carries tender feelings for their own parents.
Are You Gonna Be My Girl
This single from Betsy's run on The Voice rocks a cover of "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet.
Standing By
One of the early singles for the band's forthcoming Dawn album, "Standing By" is an ode to music and its deep impact on us.
Music and More
A musician's songs tell you something about them, but there's often more to tell about their music, what it means to them, and who they are as a person.
Getting Real
Following Betsy's run on The Voice, the band appeared on the radio show Get Real with Ralph Nudi, which aired at that time in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It was the type of easy-going, wide-ranging conversation you'd have if you were hanging out with them over a cup of coffee. They covered topics such as Betsy's experience on The Voice and the stories behind some of their songs, and they even played a great acoustic cover of Billie Eilish's song "Come Out and Play." It's all on tape, so pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea and settle in to get better acquainted.
The conversation starts at the 3:25 mark of the first video. The first video ends at the 29:10 mark, the second at 14:03.
(Note: Parts 3 and 4 of the interview, available on YouTube, delve into the band's involvement with efforts to combat human trafficking, the subject of their song "Voices.")
